    Abstract:
This Master's Final Project reflects on the causes and consequences of living in a situation of severe social exclusion. The research begins by contextualizing homelessness in the European Union, stops in Spain, until it reaches a local level, comparing quantitative data of interest at different scales and providing valuable information on the state of the matter. Next, the life trajectories of a group of homeless people are analyzed, describing their transition from a space of social cohesion to another of exclusion. The analysis aims to relate the concept of individual social capital, context of socialization and home loss. The following sections investigate the production and reproduction of exclusion spaces and the role of the body in this process. Following the same line of argument, the research explores how different situations of exclusion are embodied and how they influence subjectivity, as well as everyday adaptive techniques and practices, as a product of the new subjectivities that arise as a result of extreme lack. Finally, the role of different institutions operating in the field of exclusion is examined from the experience of the parties involved.
