  • Identification data

    Identifier:  TFM:2447
    Authors:  Cruañes Gas, Laura
    Abstract:
This cross-sectional observational study analyzed the relationship between engaging in additional physical activity and physical performance in older adults participating in community-based physiotherapy programs within primary care. Thirty individuals over the age of 65 were included, and functional capacity was assessed using the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB) and handgrip strength. Participants who engaged in additional physical activity achieved better SPPB scores, and a positive correlation was observed between grip strength and physical performance, supporting the promotion of exercise for healthy aging.
