    Abstract:
This thesis compares institutional tourism communication and visitor reviews in Bremen's historic centre. It examines how WFB Bremen Tourismus presents five heritage nodes and how visitors describe them on TripAdvisor, asking where the narratives diverge and what the differences mean for destination management. Institutional texts and visitor reviews are coded with the Narrative Policy Framework and Wang's typology of authenticity. The first identifies setting, characters, plot, and moral. The second distinguishes objective, constructive, and existential authenticity, and a practical register that does not invoke authenticity, an analytical extension used in this study. Together they support a node by node comparison of official communication and visitor interpretation, coded from eight institutional pages and 351 TripAdvisor reviews published between 2020 and 2025
