Abstract:
TIMBER TECH, a startup, aims to revolutionize elevator door design by using new material technologies to create timber elevator doors instead of conventional carbon steel doors. These doors will be made from responsibly sourced wood near well-managed forests. The company’s primary focus is on designing and selling these timber doors to elevator companies (a B2B business). The adoption of timber doors offers benefits such as reduced carbon footprint, support for the circular economy, energy efficiency and the lighter weight of the door will make it easier for elevator companies to comply with EU OSHA regulations.
