Abstract: This paper proposes an analysis on the generated interpretive frames in general and economic news from Peru, around the creation of the Peruvian Tropical Pacific Sea Reserve Zone (ZRMPTP). This study does not pretend to be an investigation focused only on the media logic, but rather it is the starting point to understand a risk from a political, economic and social context, and to establish relationships between the narration and the construction of a conflict among the environmental and oil sectors, based on the theory of risk communication and framing.
