    Abstract:
Numerous studies show the growing interest in complementary therapies and the need of the population to acquire another health model to treat their ailments, being complementary to the allopathic medical model. It analyzes the relationship between both models and the importance of recovering the narratives of people to better understand their disease situation and to offer greater effectiveness in the therapeutic assistance. Finally, the role of nursing as a health care manager and leading leader in holistic treatments for the well-being of people is highlighted. Objectives: To explore the therapeutic itinerary of people with acute myeloid leukemia and to know the opinion of health professionals and therapists of the nonconventional model on pluralism. Methodology: Qualitative, with descriptive-interpretative design and with inductive method. Semi-structured interviews will be carried out on 12 people admitted for leukemia belonging to two different hospitals, one that integrates the complementary therapies in the Hematology service and the other not. There will be 3 interviews with doctors and 3 with nurses from each hospital. Two interviews will be included with non-conventional therapists who provide services to people with leukemia.
