Title in different languages: Pre-concentration of viral particles present in stool samples for subsequent viroma sequencing
Abstract: The intestinal viroma has been little studied in contrast to the intestinal microbiome because they were unable to grow virus, but thanks to new advances in the science of molecular genetics the studies from virome can be made by the sequencing of the viral genome. But in order to make such sequencing requires pre-treatment of fecal specimen as there are several factors that complicate this process one of the factors is one that is only a small part of nucleic acids that are found in the samples is from viral origin, in addition there is a low abundance of viral particles in the samples so it requires an enrichment process malware, prior to the extraction of nucleic acids. The studies from human intestinal viroma are important since it is a field with great potential to relate the presence of any virus with certain pathologies as well as studying the relationship with microbiota and the immune system of the host.
