Abstract: Introduction In today's society, essentially patriarchal, there are determining factors that perpetuate inequalities of incidence, prevalence and development of certain pathologies based on gender. Objective The present project was born with the objective of knowing the psychosocial and cultural factors that may constitute a risk for the development of psychosomatic pathologies in men and women between 15 and 64 years of Terres de l'Ebre. Methodology For this purpose, a cross-sectional descriptive study of a mixed methodology is proposed. A first phase will be carried out in which a series of questionnaires validated and translated into Spanish will be administered to a representative sample of population between 15 and 64 years of Terres de l'Ebre, being 1122 men and 1122 women. When the results of this quantitative part have been collected and analyzed, the development of the second qualitative phase will be carried out. Semi-structured interviews will be distribute to an indeterminate number of study subjects until data saturation, discourse of which is expected to be very useful for the deepening of the results and analysis.
