Abstract: This research aims to create a method of evaluating the landscape, addressing the issue from the point of view of geographical discipline, so that the results are able to integrate the analysis of the territory and its characteristics with the visual quality of the landscape. This integration is done through a Geographic Information System, which will help generate a thematic mapping of landscape quality in the whole area of the region of the Fuentes del Narcea, Degaña and Ibias and a concrete path I insert in the same frame of work. These two different approaches to the same concept have been proposed in order to quantitatively assess the landscape of the area with indirect methods in office work and direct methods in fieldwork, trying to objectify the vague concept of the landscape and avoid subjectivity own it.
