    Abstract: The analysis of different scenarios, found in chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, in which it is necessary to correctly dimension the relief devices of their facilities is where this project is focused. In this project, the sizing of relief devices performed by dynamic methods vs steady state calculations is compared, and it is intended to find and demonstrate, that according to the studied scenario, it is not necessary to perform a dynamic study to correctly size a relief device.
