Resumen:
This paper analyzes the evolution experienced by the environmental law in Spain during the last ten years. Particularly, it analyzes the incidence of the economic crisis related to that subject. The strong State crisis that occurred the latter years has acted as an engine for the transformation of the public law and, regarding the environmental law, has inspired numerous normative changes and has been useful for justifying the opening of the new evolutionary, which are analyzed in this paper. First of all, it analyzes the deep changes in the environmental policies that the crisis has caused: slowdown and priority of the objectives referred to the reactivation of the economy over environmental ones. Secondly, it examines the impact that the crisis has had on the exercise of the competences in terms of environmental protection, and highlights the recentralization of competences produced. Third, the impact of the processes of liberalization, deregulation and administrative simplification on the environmental law is highlighted and the main changes produced in environmental legislation are analyzed. Finally, some reflections are also made on the opportunities brought by the crisis to environmental law.
