    Abstract:
During the sixties and seventies in Spain, fantastic cinema, and especially the horror genre, enjoyed a period of splendor. The productions that emerged in this context would be gathered under the name of fantaterror. The films of this subgenre –which includes not only horror, but also different works of science fiction, thriller and other genres with a greater or lesser relationship with the fantastic genre present some characteristics in common with the exploitation cinema of the time, among which a lack of means and the exploitation of the female body with clearly commercial intentions stand out. Our main objective with this research work is to study the erotic elements present in sixteen of these horror films (one for each year, from 1962 to 1977), including not only nudes but also metaphorical and paraphilic referencies to discern a possible evolution of eroticism in them and point out the socio-political causes of said process.
