    Abstract:
The general objective of this study is to analyze the ways of being and belonging of a transnational collective, Argentine migrants, through virtual means, comparing different migration enclaves. To achieve this, three hypotheses are proposed. The first hypothesis states that, unlike previous migration flows, current Argentine migrants have fewer sociocultural resources. The second hypothesis suggests that virtual social networks have partially replaced traditional physical networks, generating a transnational, virtual, and imagined community. The third hypothesis argues that Argentine Groups on Facebook for Argentines Abroad reflect the class habitus of Argentine emigrants, which has been affected by the paradigms that govern the imagination of the Argentine nation-state, such as assimilationism and the exclusion of other identities, those that are not European. In summary, the study seeks to analyze the ways in which Argentine immigrants relate to and define themselves in the era of globalization and virtual social networks.
