IMAGE AND TOURIST PROFILE FORMATION FROM A PSYCHOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE: THE CASE OF PERÚ

    Abstract:
    Mainly the question that is asked in the study is above all the interests that has the tourist in reaching to Peru; with this means which are their motivations and reasons for choosing the country to visit and which are the factors that influence in this. As a response to this if the image and expectations that recreates the tourist previously of Peru agrees with their experiences lived in the destination at ending their stay. As well as also their behaviour that gives shape finally to the global profile of the tourist in the country, that is precisely what the analysis tries to look for and investigate. In addition to the theories mentioned one of the questions that is asked is if the main international tourist that reaches Peru is in majority Backpacker. With Backpacker wants refer to the type of tourist that travels in long stays with a low budget and distinguished by his luggage. There are many tourists with this type of profile in the city that arrive in majority from Europe, United States and Canada. Therefore with the data contrasted from a sample obtained of seventy individuals interviewed it can establish a profile based on a typology and the behaviour of the tourist that arrives to Peru leaned by the theories studied along the project.
