And you, do you vaccinate?

Abstract:
Vaccines are biological products that protect actively people against some diseases from an acquired immunity. Nowadays there is a new school of thought that questions its effectiveness. This is why we decided to delve into the topic proposing the objective of knowing the arguments of parents who choose not to vaccinate their children and identify strategies as professional tools to face situations where parents reject vaccination. To carry out this work we used the qualitative research model that has let us have three informal and semi-structured interviews in order to compare them with the literature search. As for the results, we found out that the theoretical framework and what explained the different parents is very similar and the reasons in order to not vaccinate their children are: pharmaceutical industry, philosophy of life, lack of vaccines effectiveness, risks and consequences and health professionals. Knowing the different arguments, we wanted to create a series of strategies to improve the care of this group on health consultations.
