    Abstract:
ABSTRACT In this project, a step automated cleaning system four Batch reactors will be designed, which are part of a PVC plant, minimizing the time involved in this process. Since the actual plant is the result of different extensions, each reactor has its own installation, a fact that complicates the operation and generates downtime. The completion of this study implies an improvement in the cleaning system to optimize the cleaning time. Thus, an investment of 670,000 € will be a 9% increase in production, which leads to an increase in profits of 260,000 € per year once the investment recovered in almost 2 years and 7 months. This project will also have impact in the environmental field, as the optimization of the cleaning system will work with the closed reactor, and therefore reduce emissions of VCM to the atmosphere.
