Abstract: El present és un estudi sobre la possibilitat del reconeixement de drets subjectius als animals, estructurat en tres blocs diferents: el primer, presenta una relació dels distints antecedents històrics de la relació dels humans amb els animals no humans, posant èmfasi en la importància de certes concepcions i moments històrics que són vitals per entendre la situació actual; el segon, tracta els arguments biològics, ètics i jurídics des dels quals es pot considerar la igualtat animal; el tercer i últim és un compendi de justificacions ètiques i jurídiques per acabar de valorar la qüestió específica dels drets animals. This is a study on the possibility of recognition of subjective rights to animals, divided into three different sections: the first presents a list of the different historical background of the relationship of human to non-human animals, emphasizing the importance of certain conceptions and historical moments that are vitally important to understand the current situation; the second is biological, ethical and legal arguments from which animal can be considered equal; the third and last is a compendium of ethical and legal justifications to finish assessing the specific issue of animal rights. El presente es un estudio sobre la posibilidad del reconocimiento de derechos subjetivos a los animales, estructurado en tres bloques diferentes: el primero, presenta una relación de los distintos antecedentes históricos de la relación de los humanos con los animales no humanos, haciendo hincapié en la importancia de ciertas concepciones y momentos históricos que son de vital importancia para entender la situación actual; el segundo, trata los argumentos biológicos, éticos y jurídicos desde los cuales puede considerarse la igualdad animal; el tercero y último es un compendio de justificaciones éticas y jurídicas para terminar de valorar la cuestión específica de los derechos animales.
