    Abstract:
    Objective This article aims to disseminate the knowledge acquired in the framework of a final work of degree on knowing whether people with hearing and visual disabilities have difficulties in health care. Method Qualitative study of phenomenological type. The data collection was carried out through the use of semi-structured ad-hoc interviews and the codification of information was used for analysis. Results According to the interviewees of the two groups, the common difficulties they share is the lack of training of the professionals and as separate guilds; for people with visual impairment there is a lack of accompaniment service; of privacy; obstacles in access to information and architectural, feeling of stigmatization. In the case of the hearing disability, also they suffer from the lack of communication due to the few interpreters; of signage and visual support; of autonomy and privacy; as well as stigma and discrimination. Conclusions This research reflects that there are important barriers that hinder the equal use of health services for people with visual and auditory impairments.
