    Abstract:
The aim of this work is to explore synthesis by solvothermal method of CsYb(WO4)2 nanoparticles with low thermal transition phase and compare with Pechini’s method (a sol-gel synthesis) which has been broadly studied in FiCMA-FiCNA laboratories in recent years. According to the previous literature, it is expected that this material presents a low temperature monoclinic crystalline phase. A TEM has been performed to determine the distribution of particle size and morphology in obtained products of synthesis. In addition X ray powder analysis and a Pawley refinement have been realized to confirm the obtained crystalline phase and to obtain structural information. In order to check the presence of temperature crystalline phase transitions, a DTA-TG analysis has been carried out. Additionally a spectroscopic characterization of Er3+ doped and undoped particles has been realized to explore the possible potential of this material as temperature sensor.
