Abstract:
At present, e-commerce represents a large percentage of domestic and business consumption in most of developed countries. From this fact, we can affirm that the globalization of economies opens business to new markets beyond the borders of a country, which gives special prominence to Internet commerce, which has gained significant strength in recent years. That is why the existence of the Internet as a tool to do international business benefits in many aspects any individual or legal entity with an initiative to trade electronically, eliminating entrance barriers typical of traditional businesses, such as accumulation of capital and knowledge to maintain a certain market share and not fail imminently. In the case that concerns us, we will study the behavior of a company in the retail sector and its logistics development. The elaboration of this TFG has as its reason to be the analysis of the keys of the logistic development of a company dedicated to the retail sale, an influential theme in the current business models, innovative, with a proven growth potential and a great international projection. This work is made up of three chapters, and each one contains different subsections: Chapter 1: From traditional commerce to e-commerce: Introduction to the marketplace, precursors and success models. Chapter 2: Regulation and infrastructure: Amazon and its international logistics operations. Chapter 3: Innovation and reinvestment in the long term: News and future in Amazon's international markets. Knowing the operation of this type of business models by reading this work has a great importance due to the constant change of economies in globalization and its adoption of new logistics management systems that seek to reduce costs, time and maximize the utility that gets the final customer.
