    Abstract:
Objectives: The general objective of this study is to identify the factors associated with caregiver’s burnout which have the most impact on it. Methodology: A bibliographic research has been made from November 2017 to February 2018 in Pubmed, Cinahl and Scopus databases. 17 articles have been selected among 589 articles found. Results: The results from the articles selected have shown that there is a high diversity of factors related to burnout, but neuropsychiatric symptoms and cognitive and functional decline have been the most mentioned ones among different authors. Conclusions: Despite the high variety of factors, a great part of the authors have agreed that the neuropsychiatric symptoms and cognitive and functional decline are the factors that usually have a direct effect on the increase of burnout. In relation to caregiver’s profile, the daughters of Alzheimer’s disease individuals continue to be the responsible ones of their caring.
