Abstract:
Every year, the number of tourists increases worldwide, and so the importance of analysing tourists. This research focuses on analysing the tourist demand of the city of Reus (Spain), in other words, it focuses on the tourists. Thus, the investigation establishes the profile of tourists that visit Reus, the motivation that encourage them to visit the city, the perceived and projected image of the destination and the satisfaction resulting from visiting Reus. For that, based on surveys carried out on tourists that were visiting Reus, it has been possible to quantify and analyse all these concepts, concluding that the satisfaction of tourists is high; the motivation is culture, unlike the motivation of tourists who visit the Costa Dorada, which is the sun and the beach; the tourist profile is basically one-day visitors; and the image that tourists have regarding the destination and the image transmitted from the destination coincides, therefore the expectations of tourists are fulfilled and there is final satisfaction.
