Does the degree of knowledge about the neurophysiology of pain and the management of chronic pain improve after the educational process of a degree in Health Sciences?

    Abstract:
    Background: The objective of the study is to analyze the degree of knowledge about the neurophysiology of pain and about the management of chronic pain of the students of the FMCS and to determine if this knowledge improves at the end of the degree. Methods: During the courses 2016/17 and 2017/18 a questionnaire was passed to the first and final year students of the FMCS grades.They were collected sociodemographic data, access note and responses to the Pain Neurophysiology Questionnaire-RNPQ and Chronic Pain Management Questionnaire-Ali formed by 13 closed questions with the options true / false / I don´t know. The main variable is the average of the percentage of total correct answers [[Correct answer number / 13] x100]. To analyze the data obtained was used the stadistic program SPSS and p values below 0.05 were considered statistically significant.
