    Abstract:
This paper begins with the presence of so-called “glass ceiling” in the workplace. The principal aims that guide the investigation revolve around the study of the causes of the imbalance of male and female representation in the professional field as well as suggest strategies that are considered successful for women to reach the power and to be good directives. Methodologically, it focuses on the concept of the glass ceiling and the equality plan of the Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona is reviewed to ascertain the women worker’s situation in the university. The choice of this topic is due to the thought that employment equality is a matter of social justice and I think it is important to spread and report the population and the business world.
