The family enterprises in valls: an exploratory study on the influence factors in the taking of succession decisions

Abstract:
This project consists in the elaboration of an exploratory study through which we want to answer the question about the decision factors that take part in the succession of family businesses. It starts with a theoretical introduction to the concepts of family business and succession, followed by the study, which is focused on family businesses in the town of Valls. The method used to obtain the necessary information is in-depth interviews. Then, through the inductive interpretative analysis of the data, the results are written and the conclusions of the work are formulated. The most relevant conclusions that have been drawn from this study are that the emotional factors for business and the family are what determines the next generation that will control and own the family business.
