    Abstract:
    In the project titled “Disseny d’una planta de producció de liquid ionic” it is presented for the production of 2Tm/day of ionic liquid 95,97% pure. It will be transported by cistern tank truck. This ionic liquid, 2-hydroxy ethyl ammonium pentanoate (2-HEAPE) has been synthesized by the Company Aplicacions de la Catàlisi S.L. (Aplicat). This product is the result of a liquid neutralization reaction of valeric acid and ethanolamine. It is synthesized through the batch process. It is basically used to regenerate surface roads. Specifically the chemical plant operates 44 weeks/year, 5 days/week being the annual production of 440 Tm. It this project it is presented the process equipment design, process diagrams, equipment layout and the manuals of the chemical plant. Also an economic evaluation of the chemical plant has been done to determine the viability of ionic liquid production. Finally it has been analyzed the environment impact of the chemical plant’s construction and exploitation. The study has been realized according to the current laws.
