    Abstract:
This project is placed in the context of the URV’s Service-learning program (APS) together with La Tutela Foundation and the URV’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. La Tutela Foundation posed the first problematic contact for us because of the eating habits of people who live in halfway houses, and, also because many of these people had health problems related to their lifestyle (most of them due to their diet). The main purpose of this dissertation is to inquire about the eating habits of people with intellectual disabilities (ID) and to work in order to design and implement a guide based on the real needs, perceived and manifested by people with ID that live in halfway houses and are members of La Tutela Foundation. The methodology used is a qualitative exploratory research through two data collection techniques: semi-structured interview and Participant observation as the main techniques and, also others that help to complete the informants’ nutrition information. Finally, the results show that people who live in halfway houses, have an intellectual (dis)ability and are members of the foundation mentioned above have eating habits that could turn into health problems.
