    Abstract:
This project has been done in a production plant in Vilallonga del Camp called Ravago Plásticos S.A. This project has three different parts. The first one is the documentation of the wastewater treatment station that the plant has. Actually the water that comes from the production processes is treated in the WWTP that has a physical-chemical process, then this can be recirculated to the process or intended for irrigation. The process had not got any diagram to study it, for this reason, the first part of the project has been to document it with the BFD, PFD, P&ID and a 3D diagram. It is also done the list of all pipes, instruments, equipment and valves that are in the WWTP. Moreover, it has been done an Asset Tree that is applicable in all plants of Ravago and allows to standardize the process. This has been done not only for the water treatment, but also for all the processes that takes part in the plant. The second part has been the optimization of the process. Actually, the WWTP only recirculates to the process 10% of the water that is treated. For this reason, a new solution has been done to increase this percentage till 30% maintaining the currant facilities and with the lowest inversion. On the other hand, the waste treatment process from the depuration plan has been studied. The calculation of the cost of the modifications and the study of the initial investment has been done in order to know whether the proposed modifications are profitable or not. A reporting with KPIs has also been designed in order to have a follow-up and a control of the water treatment process. Finally, the third part of the project has been the study of the actual capacity and the free capacity related with a possible extension of the WWTP. It has been studied if the actual water process is capable to treat 112.500m3 of water. It is equivalent to 4 more times the water that is actually treated. The equipment that has to be modified has been identified and designed so that the sewage treatment can treat the new volume of water.
