    Abstract:
The objective of the work is to determine if a new tourism dynamic is necessary to guarantee territorial sustainability in the southern part of the island of Gran Canaria. To achieve this objective, a division of the territory into territorial units based on biotic, abiotic and anthropic characteristics is first defined. Secondly, a systemic territorial inventory is made of each of these units that allows the interpretation of territorial reality. The main elements to analyze and quantify are the activity of tourist accommodation and environmental problems, in addition to the information on tourism activity of Wikiloc, Facebook and Airbnb, among other indicators. The work carried out and the correlation of the different indicators with each other shows that the new tourist forms especially value those spaces with greater interest from a natural point of view and that this implies the need to change the tourism paradigm in this part of Gran Canaria.
