    Abstract:
Suicide and bullying in adolescence is one of the biggest public health problems in the world. The aim of this paper is to find out the existence of a relationship between both variables, in order to identify the factors that increase and decrease the risk of suicide by bullying, and which are the most effective preventive strategies developed by Nursing. For the methodology, a systematic review was carried out in 6 databases, together with data provided by Google. A total of 31 articles were collected in the months of October and November 2019. The results found reveal that one of the risk factors that have the greatest impact on adolescent suicide are the affective disorders developed as a result of school bullying, and that the most effective protective factor for their prevention is emotional intelligence and strengths. With respect to nursing, the importance of its role in prevention and intervention is recognized, but there are few plans designed and implemented by this sector in our country, and there are hardly any studies that validate the effectiveness of those already existing. The conclusion is that the confluence of bullying together with scarce resources in emotional intelligence and a hostile environment are factors that could precipitate the appearance of suicidal thoughts or behaviors. Nursing is considered a key element in combating this problem, although many authors also agree that nurses receive little training in school bullying and suicide in order to provide quality health education.
