    Abstract:
Different experimental procedures have been tested to prepare aqueous polyurethane dispersions. This procedure has been optimized and scaled for a particular dispersion with good adhesive properties. This will be further synthetized in the reactor plant. These results show that the best procedure is the pre-polymer addition into the water mixture with the neutralizer, carrying out the extension as the last step, at 300rpm and scaling of production has been carried out starting with 2Kg of dispersion, following with 5Kg and finally with 13Kg. The reactor plant set-up limits the procedure because its agitator can stir at low agitation speeds, thus the possibility to follow the optimized procedure has been studied.
