    Abstract:
    The aim of this project is to make the conceptual design of a biogas upgrading plant to obtain biomethane with the correct specifications for current regulations to be injected on the distribution network or to be used in vehicles. The design includes the biogas conditioning and equipment sizing. Biogas conditioning is divided in two cleaning stations. The first station reduces and remove impurities the biogas could present. The second station purifies and provides value to the product stream. Then the equipment sizing is carried out considering the flow an agroindustry biogas plant provides. Also, a simulation has been done in order to obtain energy and mass balances. Finally, the viability of the project has been analysed by an economic study. Investment and maintenance costs have been considered as well as the operational costs.
