A year after making the research I have decided to share with readers the subject of study and the conclusions about it. This article analyzes how can drugs, above all cocaine, can bring the origin of diseases and disorders, especially, can development mental illnesses. Effects such as the ones which affect the daily life of the individual, social relationships, family and future trends, when there is no control of the situation, will appear and/or accelerate mental illnesses, causing significant neurological and psychiatric disorders. Therefore, we can see that we have a complex and conscientious social problem, considering that in recent years there has been a very significant increase of problems associated with cocaine which cause every ear an important specialized treatment demand and urgent health care, according to the Generalitat de Catalunya (2010). In this sense, the development of this article is based on the collect of information from professionals who work in social and sanitary environment analyzing the conditions that the repeated use of cocaine and its dependence causes them. Also, formulates the approach bases about a proposal of social intervention whose main objective is to help them after being in special centers (Dual Pathology Unit) and improve their social reintegration avoiding stigmatization.
