    Abstract:
Breast cancer (BC) is the fifth leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide. Nutrition is a modifiable risk factor, and it could have a significant impact on primary prevention. Bibliographical research was carried out using the PubMed database. The results suggested that higher intake of ultra-processed foods seem to be associated with higher risk of BC. Other foods, such as mushrooms seem to be inversely associated with BC risk. Some nutrients also seem to be inversely associated with BC risk, including calcium, vitamin D and carotenoids. All in all, following healthy eating habits seems to reduce the risk of developing BC.
