Analysis of innovation in Catalonia, Spain and Europe

Abstract:
This project deals with the current position of innovation in Catalonia and Spain taking the European Union as a reference. The objective is to analyze how investments in research and development (R&D) and business innovation have evolved in recent years. During the development of the project, the development in the innovation of the different countries that make up Europe has been analyzed in a general way. Subsequently, a series of indicators are analyzed that show the structure of Spain and Catalonia in comparison to that of the continent. Precisely, six groups of indicators were selected: the first measure the average score obtained in terms of innovation; Two of them focus on research; another two in the business structure and the ability to generate newness; and the last one, in the expense that they carry out in R&D.
