    Abstract:
Prostate cancer is a multifactorial disease that affects millions of men around the world. In the initial stages, it does not present symptoms, making early detection difficult, which is vitally important for effective and personalized treatment. There is no single, specific test for diagnosis, and for this reason there is a need to search for potential biomarkers for the diagnosis or prognosis of prostate cancer. In this study, attention has been focused on exovesicles that are secreted by cells in the tumor microenvironment that specifically contain miRNAs inside, to be used as potential biomarkers of cancer. They can regulate processes such as proliferation and cell differentiation and could represent alternative therapeutic targets in the treatment of tumors.
