  • Identification data

    Identifier:  TFG:8647
    Authors:  Narváez Medina, Paula
    Abstract:
This pilot study evaluated the efficacy of a physiotherapy program with orofacial exercises, relaxation and stretching in people with a clinical diagnosis of bruxism. Over four weeks, two groups (control and intervention) were compared using face-to-face assessments of mandibular and cephalic pain, temporomandibular joint range of motion, masticatory function and satisfaction. Nine people participated, and only statistically significant differences were found in the reduction of headache at 15 days in the intervention group. The program was not effective in reducing mandibular pain or improving other variables assessed at the end of the intervention
