    Abstract:
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Type I (CRPS-I) is a chronic neurological disease that primarily affects the limbs and causes severe pain, motor alterations, and changes to the skin. It is more common in women and often arises after injuries such as fractures, negatively impacting quality of life. Its pathophysiology is complex, making treatment difficult. This systematic review analyzed eight studies with 274 participants, highlighting the effectiveness of techniques such as TENS, mirror therapy, and pain exposure, particularly in subacute and chronic phases. It concludes that physiotherapy is fundamental for the management of CRPS-I, always with an individualized approach.
