    Abstract:
OBJECTIVE: This thesis aimed to evaluate, through a clinical trial, the efficacy of a caloric-restricted diet adjusted to a morning intake schedule—in the form of an early time restricted eating protocol (eTRE)—as compared to an isocaloric diet alone without time-of-day constrains (CCR) in individuals with a BMI between 27 and 40 kg/m2. RESULTS: Aligning caloric restriction to an early-morning eating schedule was found to significantly improve body mass index, waist and hip circumference, and fasting glucose levels compared to an isocaloric diet without temporal alignment
