Abstract:
The economic recession generated the middle of last decade has led to changes in the global economic outlook. Especially in southern European countries, it has increased the production crisis due to the proliferation of the countries of Eastern Europe and South-East Asia. Therefore, the logistics activities can be an opportunity for the regions of the Mediterranean basin. The axis Tarragona - Castellón geostrategically located between the two most influential cities in the Mediterranean corridor (Barcelona and Valencia) featuring superb to develop a network of communication infrastructures and potential logistics centers. It will emphasize the importance that should be the intermodal transport logistics centers, focusing on the dual port - railway. The aim is to optimize the transport of goods and which is distributed in a logical transport modal share in response to the demands of the flow of goods today. This is why the territories of the shaft must develop a proper infrastructure to offer in making this place an attractive space for logistics companies and generate a powerful economic activity. Through the analysis of different spatial plans of state and regional governments, the performances of logistics space will be considered. Subsequently indicators be developed to assess the suitability of the territory. Given this classification will be drawn up to justify actions which are more priority.
