WebAssembly for edge-cloud computing

  • Identification data

    Identifier:  TFM:1629
    Authors:  Franco López, Daniel Dagomer
    Abstract:
Wasm, also known as WebAssembly, is a binary-code format that defines instructions for a virtual machine that operates on a stack data structure. The environment that allows the loading and execution of WebAssembly modules is known as the Wasm runtime. In this work, experimental tests have been conducted to demonstrate the performance of certain algorithms related to machine learning. Another of the tools analyzed in this work is Docker, a software tool that allows you to create, run, and manage application containers. Docker Desktop currently has a feature under development through which Wasm workloads can be deployed as images.
