Abstract: This study explores how accessible tourism is communicated in Spain, a global leader in tourism, focusing on the national tourism website and its social media, along with a case study of three cities. Results reveal a disconnect between accessibility efforts and how they are presented online. Many destinations lack consistency across platforms and often focus only on physical disabilities, overlooking intellectual and sensory ones. The findings highlight the need for greater awareness and unified communication. Promoting inclusivity in tourism requires joint efforts across the sector because, above all, everyone deserves to feel welcome, valued, and free to explore.
