    Abstract:
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine-metabolic disorder associated with insulin resistance. This systematic review included five randomized clinical trials conducted in Iran between 2015 and 2024, with 12-week interventions. Conventional curcumin favorably reduced glucose, insulin, and HOMA-IR. The nanomicellar formulation showed modest effects when administered alone. However, its combination with metformin showed more consistent and significant reductions in all parameters. Although the results are promising, further evidence from well-designed studies evaluating dosage, formulation, and follow-up is needed to establish robust recommendations.
