    Abstract:
    The objective of this project is to perform a basic implementation of the CANopen protocol. This is an upper layer protocol that works on a CAN network, and therefore we also studied CAN driver and has developed a complete and flexible CANopen on which it operates. The implementation result is a basic approach to develop applications with complete communication capabilities via CANopen. The protocol implements the main functions of CANopen has been proven that communicates perfectly with commercially available components.
