Abstract:
Objective: To see if the care provided by the nursing staff is human, determining the perceived quality of the users of the internal medicine unit of the San Rafael Hospital in Barcelona. Specific objectives: Analyze sociodemographic variables. Know the level of overall satisfaction. Find out if there is significant difference between sex or age with perceived treatment received. Methodology: Quantitative, observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study. A total of 138 users were surveyed using the SERVQHOS-E questionnaire, from January to April 2017. Data were recorded and evaluated using IBM SPSS Statistics 23, using percentage, chi-square and Cochrane data for the interpretation of The results in tables and graphs. Results: The overall mean of the intangible variables of perceived quality in nursing care by users is 4.08 (according to the survey SERVQHOS-E is "Better than I expected"). Overall satisfaction is "Satisfied" (50.7%). The percentage of men (54.3%) is higher, the average age is 82, the majority have primary education (55.1%), are married (47.1) and are pensioners (97.1%), . There is no statistically significant difference between sex and care, but if age difference is observed in the question: "the information that nurses provide has been" p (0.001). Conclusions: According to Oliver's Disconfirmation theory and the Paradigm of Parasuranam, the treatment provided by nurses to patients is of high quality. ("Much satisfaction" - "Better than I expected"). It follows that nursing care in the present study is considered humanized. Key words: Quality of care, satisfaction, human care and nursing.
