Abstract:
The project presented below is a business plan for the opening of a new hotel at the city of Reus province of Tarragona. Hence, its intended is to study the viability of a boutique hotel in a small-scale that get adapt to its environment and entails the use of existing buildings with certain features needed for this type of business, that is to say, the cozy and warm atmosphere that a building with an ancient architecture can provide. During the course of the project, is detailed the keys for a proper functioning of this kind of establishments, such as the case of advertising which required the study of the market in different scales; starting with the contribution of various perspectives of the economic environment of the three major tourism markets to the state (the UK, Germany and France) and including the current situation of the Spanish economy itself. In the same manner, a study of the current situation in the tourism sector at the state, regional and local level. The latter would be the case of the Costa Daurada. Also, it is defined the target of the hotel, along with estimates of costs and benefits to be gained based on the occupation in different seasons. In the following pages, It is synthesized the analysis of the previous market analysis in a DAFO matrix, where the weaknesses and strengths of this establishment are defined, as well as threats and opportunities from the immediate surroundings of the hotel; to conclude with a marketing plan, where the product is defined, its price and different communication strategies and distribution channels.
