Abstract:
The following work presents the description and study of methods of organization and operation that carried out daily a hotel, in this case, Tryp Port Cambrils Hotel, located on the Costa Dorada. Firstly, there will be made a general analysis of the brands Meliá Hotels International and TRYP by Wyndham Group for knowing the origin and the basis on which it is based Tryp Port Cambrils Hotel, the main element to study. There will also be more detailed exam and differentiated into two parts: on the one hand, the Internal Analysis, observing the facilities and services offered by the hotel as well as examine their strengths and weaknesses, and the organization and functioning of its three departments: Accommodation Department, Food and Beverage Department and Commercial Department; and on the other hand, the External Analysis, provides relevant information about their geographic location, competitors and customers. Finally, are exposed a set of problems identified regarding the hotel establishment and are provided some possible solutions to consider. The choice of this hotel chain and, in particular Tryp Port Cambrils Hotel, is explained after the completion of the curricular practice at this hotel. In addition, it is considered a hotel company as world touristic reference, fact that facilitates for collecting information. The results show the correct and efficient structure and activity of the hotel, leaving clear that this is a tourist establishment of reference of the area, in all aspects, and despite the problems that it can cope at present.
