Determination of fat soluble vitamins in foods by RP-HPLC-UV

    Identifier:  TFG:1752
    Authors:  Velásquez Argomedo, Brian Frank
    Abstract:
The purpose of the project was the development of a method that can simultaneosly determine the liposoluble vitamins of interest that in this case are vitamin A, D3 and E by reverse phase high resolution líquid chromatography coupled to a UV detector, optimitze it and validate it. This method was developed with the help of the corresponding ISO regulations since the use of theese offers a simplification when validating the method. An experimental Plackett-Burman design was developed to determine the influence factors of the method in the mínimum number of possible experiments and a second design to determine the optimal value for these factors. Once optimized, the validation of the method was carried out following the Eurachem guide, using standards and routine samples of food supplements.
