Detection and elimination of possible focuses of microbiological contamination of a cosmetic product

    Abstract:
    This project is about microbiological study from different areas of a manufacturing plant for cosmetic products. We used different methods, such as environmental control for sedimentation, surface contact control and water filtration. An investigation of different methods and products has also been carried out to do the sanitization of the osmotitzed water tank and its distribution and recirculation ring. Finally, a sanitation proposal has been made with the ability to disinfect in surfaces without mechanical action due to the hypothesis of the possible existence of biofilms on the inner surface of the water circuit. This hypothesis could not be demonstrated because there are no conclusive methods for this type of microbiological contamination in closed systems.
