    Abstract:
To know the values of the digestibility of an animal’s nutrients is important to predict the nutritional quality and the amount of intake that is needed to achieve a good production of the animal of interest. The most accurate determination is obtained from techniques in vivo but these have a high economic cost, high time-consuming and have been regulated and reduced those that influence animal welfare. Some of the techniques developed to estimate digestibility are in vitro techniques, which are cheaper, faster and reproducible. In this work, an adaptation of an in vitro method has been developed that allows predicting the apparent digestibility of poultry, specifically in broilers, in less time than the Yegani method, of which the modification has been made. They have been determined of the raw material, the raw protein, the starch and the organic matter by two methods. The sampling corresponds to a 9 raw materials: 4 cereals, 4 oilseeds and beetroot; and 4 feeds. The final results conclude that the Yegani method obtains greater digestibility in these compositions than IRTA methods. But, although its average value is similar to the values obtained by in vivo, a great deviation of values us obtained within the same batch and a low reproducibility between the ranks.
